        Jewelry:

Jewelry is the commonest and most popular form of artistic expression among Nigerians (and other West Africans) in the rain forest areas of the South. Long before surrealism became an established art form in the west, Nigerian sculptors along with their West African counterparts were carving shrines, making portraits and representation of spirits in serious caricature, using wood.
